內容描述

Stone money is an important traditional currency in Yap (Federated States of Micronesia). Smaller-sized stone money may be stored at home and passed along during a gift exchange; stone money of a large size will remain in the same location after the exchange with the knowledge that the owner of the item has changed. The photo shows different kinds of stone money in Yap.
