We all know how the COVID-19 changed our everyday lives here in Taiwan. It was May 2022 when I experienced being quarantined. The feeling of being locked in a room for several days or weeks is so depressing. You will have that extreme hunger of going outside to see the trees, flowers, the sky, the sun, and even the moon and stars at night. Luckily, my room has a window where I can see a small part of the world. Every day, I always look outside the window and appreciate all that I see. For me, everything I saw outside that window is beautiful.\n\nMy quarantine days make me realize to value and appreciate things, from being small and simple. This picture was taken at a breaking dawn, a narrow road beside our quarantine area that looks so boring during the day. Maybe other people won't find this picture beautiful, but for me, during that time, this is the most colorful scene in my eyes. The sun that is about to rise makes the sky blue, and the street lights that are just waiting for the sun before they switch off make the street look alive.\n\nThis picture reminds me of the loneliness and anxiety I had during quarantine and the hopes and dreams I am holding on to in order to overcome those emotions. Let's not forget to pray to God that we can always see the beauty and goodness in everything. The feeling of being locked in a room for several days or weeks is so depressing. You will have that extreme hunger of going outside to see the trees, flowers, the sky, the sun, and even the moon and stars at night. Luckily, my room has a window where I can see a small part of the world. Every day, I always look outside the window and appreciate all that I see. For me, everything I saw outside that window is beautiful.\n\nMy quarantine days make me realize to value and appreciate things, from being small and simple. This picture was taken at a breaking dawn, a narrow road beside our quarantine area that looks so boring during the day. Maybe other people won't find this picture beautiful, but for me, during that time, this is the most colorful scene in my eyes.
